Nuclear technology produces electrical energy in space as well

Radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTG) are nuclear technology connected to a spacecraft. These generators supply electrical energy to a spacecraft when in space. They were included in more than 25 space programs, including Voyager 1 and 2, and in a number of Apollo programs. They also helped during landing on Mars in 2014 and 2021.
