Radioactivity is a natural phenomenon, as old as the universe. We are exposed to different forms of natural radiation every day. Assessed value of radiation effects of NEK on the population within its direct vicinity in 2019 was 0,11 μSv which is 0.005% of radioactivity naturally produced on earth and space.
